Your Honor;
I am writing on behalf of Christopher Fernandez.
After hearing the heartbreaking story from his Mother,
I felt that I had to speak on their behalf.
I am the Mother of a mentally challenged son age 27. He has never been in trouble,
but if he were, the last place he could be would be in prison. The atmosphere there would be overwhelming and there would be no chance for rehabilitation in such an environment.
His Mother is not asking that he be released of all charges, she is merely asking that he be put into a 2 yr program for mental health and drug abuse where he would have a much better chance for rehabilitation due to his condition. His physician agrees that prison would not be the place for him.
His probation was violated due to depression and not being able to find a job, so I ask you, what good would prison do? This man would like to work, so why not get him in a good program for mental health and drug abuse, assist him in finding a job and allow him to become a productive member of society? That seems the only logical and most of all, the morally correct thing to do.
Please, your honor, take this into consideration for the sake of this boy and his Mother.
Sincerely,
Lynda G. Anaya

Lynda,
I can not thank you enough for your love and support. I have so much hope due to so many of you here, yet you wrote a letter of truth and understanding...which can be given to the courts.
Bless you!

Well Penned
I felt your heart open up and your words poure dinto us all and the tears came flowing from the eyes. If I were the judge your argument would be a mighty powerful one and break down even the toughest of em all. Aunt Lynda you have penned a helluva great poem again and I admire that quality. keep up the good work as always

well written and clear, a concise plea which, hopefully will make a difference with the 'system' - your compassion comes thru, loudly and is tempered with wisdom. blessings and best wishes, astralshepherd,

Excellent Sis!
I am pleased, very pleased you put your wisdom and talent into this. A very well expressed write that clearly makes the case for common sense for her, as well as her son. Thanks for being you, sweet, and filled with compassion.
