That Tattered Love Left This

Vile words spit out across the room,
Venom splurging in air.
Silence does not seek here.

Screams of misery rip the atmosphere,
Tearing pieces of love apart.
Forgiveness is forgotten.

Bulbs of souls are drowned in curses,
What is to be left of at the end?
This is no place for a child.

Lonely and missing she roams the earth,
Half alive with death prompting her forward.
Each step she takes is a risk of doomed eternity.

Struggling to complete each breath,
Her worn eyes look into abyss.
These eyes have seen more than sufficient.

Long beads of tattered hair,
Stuck to her grungy face.
The face that was once beautiful.

The visibility of happiness has long eroded from her mouth,
A long wiry gasp has replaced the once wondrous smile.

This is a child of tattered love.

Too long has she dreamt of hope,
Too long has the numbing subsided.

Matters into own hands,
She plunges into deep serenity.
No longer she feels pain.
For once,
She feels whole.

This is a child of tattered love

Author notes

Just would like to say to anyone with tattered love, that you are a whole person. You do not deserve this. Stand up to yourself, make yourself whole once again. Do not give up ♥
