I can see my hopes expanding,
life is changing, love is growing.
Times are hard but not so hard
that breathing doesn't come easily.
The air outside burns the lungs,
but the crispness of the new day
makes me smile.
A chance to do something,
make something out of nothing
and watch it grow.
The excitement for this chance
to write a new chapter in
my book of path and dreams.
A book in one hand and a Fir twig
in the other, I will excell and grow
taller then I could ever
have possibly
imagined.
With this chance to become more,
I will.
To believe in oneself and
break down barriers
of looming grey rocks and
tall sea towers.
I will break through.
I will become
the woman inside me.
