In Twilight's Shadow: for Edward

Blackened blood flows through these veins.
Life's heat?  Long lost to the light,
as Love's hunger pales
before Hunger's lust.
Brimstone eyes betray the hunt.
Yet, my crimson kiss cries out
for none other than you.
Crystalline tears creep down
this angel's face, as a call
caresses your ears on a
whisper's wing, "Come to me, my love!"
With That Moment's hesitation,
your fate is sealed -
an equal trade:  your life
for my humanity.

I smile as the lone wolf howls.

Please tell me what you think
