A World of Confusion

The noise of our silence could deafen a mime,
The broken clock ticks confusing the time.
Candle wicks sink into melted wax,
Men collect tolls while lacking a tax.

Phones echo back, you talk to yourself,
Recon explosions use unneeded stealth.
Write with chalk for the ink has run dry,
I tried to pay but my cash was denied.

Gagging a mute prevents him to speak,
Don't oil the door for I like the creak.
Go to red light and receive a gold star,
Sanctuary’s just half-way too far.

Save a tree for fire wood,
Abolish the evil by destroying the good.
Read a math book for psychology class,
Be kind to others while insulting the mass.

Turn on the light but your still in the dark,
Crashing your car is the best way to park.
Early to work, receive a late slip,
Be perfectly sane while losing your grip.

Smile so much you run out of tears,
Watching the news just encourages fears.
Go outside barefoot while wearing a sock,
Enter your home by picking the lock.

Most of this world I don't understand,
I just get through 'cause my God has a plan.
And so I cry out in this poem's valid defense,
The Lords’ the only thing in this world that makes sense.
