I sup upon the cup of pain.
What have they done?
What did they gain?
Did they win?
Did they lose?
I sup upon the cup of healing.
The taste is bittersweet.
Yet, it makes a way
To finally say
Enough!
No more to be in bondage!
No more to be controlled!
No more to respond to programs!
No more to believe the lies!
I know the Truth.
He sets me free
To be only what He made me to be.
They cannot change that.
It is mine alone.
The healing is done.
The healing is yet to come.
I sup from the cup of love.
It washes over me
Covering me
Washing me
Filling me.
Transforming me.
I sup from the cup of acceptance.
I leave behind
Their lies of belonging.
My heart knows the One
To Whom I truly belong.
I sup from the cup of joy.
No longer a toy
To be used for their purposes.
Now a true daughter
Of a true Father.
Beloved.
Special.
I am the Father’s joy!

Awww! You're welcome sweetness. I meant every word. It really helps me to read how others deal with the abuse and overcome it. -
This is wonderful! Congrats on the trophy. Your poem really gives a sense of redemption and transformation; rising above all of the deception, controling and abuse into a realm of unconditional love and healing, where your true family is. Beautifully expressed and thank you for the inspiration that you bring to us all!
