So
You decided to be one hell of an idiot
And screw up
Big time
And now you're Lord only knows where
Hopefully doing better than you were
Hopefully getting help
For what you did
But I'm missing you like crazy
I miss you playing your saxophone
As if nobody else was there
You played with your heart
Unfortunately
You won't be playing much longer
If you keep this up
I truly am missing you
Maybe not the you you've become
But the you I used to date
Author notes
didn't write this for you; why would i have notes

Very Good
this is well written with powerful imagery that liberate their presents from the page and enter our minds with ease of skill and familiarity. Your words are simple, yet so strong and layered with emotion. You have managed to capture human frailties and emotions and weave them into a poem that is expressive and poetically beautiful.

I hope he is getting the help he needs. Sometimes a friend doesn't know how to ask for help, but still wish they had it. I think you're a good friend to this person and maybe in the long run things will turn out sweet for everyone.
