My most enjoyable moments
are sitting by the window
with a cup of coffee,
watching the rain
Rhythmic sounds
of raindrops falling
on the sidewalk,
bouncing jewels upward
at odd angles.
Tiny ripples ever expanding,
relaxing my body,
cleansing my mind
of all thought.
It is then that I see
only you

I love the term "bouncing jewels"
you've created a pleasent, relaxing atmosphere for your readers and judge.
I also liked the ending stanza, when we are at our most vunerable we tend to think about somebody we care about.
Thank you for entering,
fantastic job!
Best of luck!

I actually like how you go from an impersonal subject matter such as rain, to suddenly seeing one person, and those two lines are what says the most to me. I don't like the 'bouncing jewels' image, as it strikes me as little cliche, or the cleansing of the mind, because water is general attributed to "cleansing", so it felt overused. But again, I realy enjoyed the transition and the suddenness of seeing someone. Without saying it, you've expressed the love for that person

sweet
i see no reason to rewrite this. i think to change it would change the feelings you've put into it. the person you see is truly blessed. i hope they know this. for if i can hear the raindrops so should they.the water is all your emotions spilling out to this person. -

Thank you, G. Mama
for your kind words. You are right about the water.

As in past conversations. This is a gift of shared natural occurence. I kind of feel. It's the peaceful solitude of the rain, that allows deep emotions to surface. It is as you say. A relaxed meditative time ,watching it rain.Great private moments to reflect on thoughts, hopes and wishful things for us all. Although to some. Rain is only a void preventing the sunny pursuit of outdoor adventures also.I don't know. There is just a certain energy a storm generates, that inspires me personally. And from reading this poetic well versed offering, it seems to have a similar effect.
