Happy Birthday To You

Darling Devashish, you have become ten
I have grown twenty one
Eleven years ago, I was of your age
At that time, I wasn't as bold and brave as you
I severly yearned for a company
I asked God for a companion
Who in the world, would be unlike the world
Who would be pure and true
Who would sometimes look like a lion in a zoo
God granted my wish, a bit late though
He put a little bud on the hands of Mom and Dad
They covered the bud with their hands
Their beats were travelling to it
Their hands provided warmth to the little bud
From Mom's hand the bud gained intellect and wisdom
From Dad it had patience and an attitude to enjoy dukedom
Where Mom's touch guided the bud how to win name and fame in the world, like Ashoka
Dad's touch taught it to renounce what the world yearns for, like Ashoka
The bud started unfolding little by little
Then one day it blossomed in the form of you
And I found my brother you
Who is so cute like a little Krishna with flute
When he smiles, sparrows feel like chirping louder
When he blushes, sun hides himself in the clouds
Then full of curiousity, it peeps out to see the little boy
When he runs and plays, wind at once pauses to see the elegance of his speed
He reads the eyes of his sister like her parents
He needs not be informed of any joy or sorrow
He is too perfect to make it out on his own
He is sometimes the best critic of her
While at times, the only supporter of her
Words are insufficient to describe him
So I pause and thank Mom and Dad for the little angel I got this very day
I bless him on his tenth budday to bloom and fragnate the world with his virtues
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
Loving sis
