Softness, Like Petals~

Missing image
You steal my breath in sigh

as your glow gives my quill
passion to paint pretty syllables
across an anticipating sky.

I have dreamed such light;
your sparkle rising upon river

golden flecks dancing upon my reflection
twirling through tresses

and lifted with skirt in the breeze.

Your beauty is captured
in the eyes of a lover
and penned in books of poetry

as just a memory;

in softness, like petals
pressed between the pages.

    Not only the night is soft, your poem has a very soft feel as well. A captivate feeling of romance and tenderness you have created here.
    I like the use of alliterations too. They flow naturally and don't make the tongue 'stumble' when reading your poem aloud.
    I enjoyed reading it.
