I walk across the ocean,
I walk besides it.
I whispered words
That pinches myself
In such a low murmured
Hymn, I wretched my ears.
I have walked enough with the path
I shouldn’t. I have aligned my hopes
To an empty hollowness
From where none returns.
I am mere a shadow who I used to be once.
Whirling and reeling the films of my past.

" am mere a shadow who I used to be once.
Whirling and reeling the films of my past."
Liked these lines very much dosto. Great work as usual.

Really Friday, if you're confused about the tenses I will appreciate it cos I want to show the empty hollowness in the poet by chaotic sentence orders, who mingles the past with the present.

A melancholy poem, hopes drift but regain their feet, like web and tide of ocean. Very well done in this poem Silvy..Thank you for sharing

Very much like the prompt, the last line is unique and really stays with you. I got a little confused with tenses in some of the lines but other than that, this was lovely. Thank you
