One day to celebrate love...not enough.
My Sweet, I need multiple eternities
to offer up the totality of my devotion.
All the paper in the world can not contain
the words tumbling, rushing up past my heart
warming there momentarily
then offered in whispered endearments,
petal soft in your ear.
Sterile, cold space out between celestial bodies
would be filled and made cozy warm
with the passion completing its circuit
between you and I.
My Sweet, our love requires lifetimes uncounted,
one little holiday...
not enough.

this is awsome
what a fine write

I really enjoyed reading this - there is truth woven throughout it, hidden and not.
I figured I'd read some of your stuff, since you so kindly added me as a favourite (that begs the question - am I really that good?) and I'm glad I did. I've read a few, and your poetry is very sweet - that wife of yours is lucky (and so is your Goddess!)
Great write, and blessings

Very romantic! I love this piece.. such sweet words.. almost like a whispered promise of such much more passion to come!

So true. It's the same with Christmas, their spirits should be eternal.
All these holi-days and the stupid human race still doesn't get the message!
