Words are all I have
Spinning inside of me
Swirling like the currents
Of a fury, storm-tossed sea
My lips, they are the earthen banks
Which hold the flood at bay
A breach means Hellish, never-ending
Regret for what I say
But this shell can only hold so much
The ocean song will never fit inside
So, with tapping keys and scrawling pens,
I send forth the endless tide
Hopes and dreams and painful tears
Unfurl sails and float away
Towards some distant shore unseen
Where they may be heard some day
Author notes
Across The Universe (The Beatles)
1. Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup, they slither wildly as they slip away across the universe.

I love this! You totally blow the Beatles out of the water! The rhyming and the imagery were gorgeous. And I have a passion for the seam so obviously it was easy for me to enjoy this. Well done. Good luck.
