All day, every day
He pals around, but they stay away
Everyone else must think it queer
A social outcast the rest of the year.
But on the day that the outcast loathes
Mister Valentine arrives with a beautiful rose.
Gone are his tee-shirt and old jeans
Instead a black suit, not sure what it means?
Black pants and coat, with a pure white shirt
A true gentleman to those that treated him like dirt.
So on Valentine's Day don't forget the rose
For everywhere there is a Mister Valentine, ....they just lack the clothes.

Valentine's Day is amusing in many ways and your poem gave me a big >>>
Here's a hug
for writing such an adorable poem!
Love the gentleman you created!

If he loathes that particular day, then why on earth would he show up with a rose. You would think he would show up with a skull or something like that. Quite an interesting poem, however, it fails to speak out as to make me your Valentine. I hope if you do have a love in your life, that you can write an inspirational poem desiring to be a Valentine. Not saying your poem is not good here, it just missed the mark on how to be a Valentine. Well, let me rephrase that...it missed the mark in my case. There may be a guy or girl out there in the land of wisdom that may think this is the best way to get a Valentine(lol). I want to thank you for entering my "Valentine's for APs Ted E Bare" contest.
