Dear Honorable Judge,

Dear Honorable Judge,

We write to you today, parents of addiction's cruelty to our son.

It was never our intention to raise our child to be enslaved to drugs.

A brain blinding disease as defined per the American Medical Association.

We ask today that you make a powerful decision in our son's life.

Our tears are many, and we apologize for this disease controlling

our son, and the disgrace of his criminal actions.

He also cries and weeps, suffering with the memories and pain

his actions and addiction has caused.

Abstinence in prison has revealed through statistics that it is "not" the

cure for this disease.  This young man before you could recover with

the tools and accountability provided in the Two Year program of

recovery. He HAS desperately learned his addiction, is NOT a mere

willpower action. He must learn and work hard to use the tools of

recovery.  He will not be taught these in prison, we do not want the

repeating of this disease.

I ask that you use your firm voice to let him hear that you will be

receiving reports on him each week and month from his counselors.

AND IF...you receive an indication that he is not fully cooperating,

then prison bars is what will be his consequences.  That he is

being given a Life changing opportunity to clean up his diseased

thinking and learn new tools to rebuild his life. He will be empowered

by your every word.

Please make the difference to save our son's  life today.

Respectfully,

A mothers love and hope.

Author notes

Dear Poetic Sister, you must prove that your son is
going to work hard and be willing to be accountable
and deserving of the 2 year program.
The judge needs to know that he is WILLING to face
the consequences of his actions or inactions in
recovery.

I will pray blessings of courage for you, to fight
this powerful battle, honoring truth and recovery
as you boldly breakthrough to be heard.

You must speak these bold words to your son, he must
show the judge emotion and committment, or he will
not be heard.

Much love, ears2hearyou/Seattle.

You know sissy you speak with such wisdom and knowledge I love this! You are always an advocate in times of need, and strength to those who are most down in life. One of the many reasons I love you dearly I love the penning and the outlining and the understanding of the consequences that he will face and the trials he will endure as a result of drug use. Best to you in the contest, blessings always~ Trisha

    Dear poet mother:

it is important that he have in court with him every
family member, relative, teacher, church counselor,
and healthy friend dressed nicely to show that this
young man has a supportive family.
This does speak to the judge. Invite your whole church
if you have too, but get people in those seats. Join
a church if you have to and ask for their help. The
judge will take note of it.
I did not write this to win a contest, i wrote this
    to speak to your heart.
