Address To a Fellow Parishioner

I'm not meant to be the church-going sort, really
I don't believe in your kind of God

I believe in an angel, looking on
So sad at their failings

Who gets sent down
To fail a few times for herself

No, I don't do drugs and I don't have sex,
Unless I can get it

But I don't believe in your God
Your dualities

I believe in a purpose and a cause
And I have cause to believe
There is nothing to believe in

Because I lost it all when I fell
So happily into your oblivion
But I couldn't quite shake it off
And I can't quite rise above

And now I think I've tried it a few times over

Still

Your world proves too much for me

Interesting ... very unqiue with raw honesty that isn't always expressed.

    Nicely done
