The sun finally shines once more
I find myself staring into your eyes once again
Electricity flowing under these clear blue skies
The warm breeze floating around our heads
How I've missed you I cannot describe
The words just wont escape my mouth
To stand before you once more is more than I could immagine
Dragging ourselves back to yesteryear
Do you remember the times we laid on the parade?
The moment I first told you I loved you?
Those moments I thought you were gone forever?
All these times have came and passed
I feel strong, free, young
So full of life and love once more
All thanks to you
I waited so long for you to come back to me
Today is the day I leave the past and return to the present
You touched my soul in my waking moments and dreams
I'll miss you but never forget

When someone realises that they miss who they were, who they had, what they did... it can tear them apart... we need to learn and move on. I think I've finally done that, this is my celebration of it!

Very appropriate use of questioning techniques throughout and the way the poetic voice addresses the subject.
