frozen tears

my tears are frozen in place as i watch you walk away
its like i could not cry over you
the tears are there but frozen
you care no more for me

so as i watch you walk away my tears become frozen
i yell your name and you continue walking away
the tears are frozen in my eyes
i kneel down and start to pray

my prayers are to god to help me through
to help me unfreeze these tears and to help me make it through
but my tears stay frozen there
its like i can't cry even if i wanted too

so you climb in your car and speed away
i sit down on a park bench
i accept that my tears are to remain frozen
because i have been hurt so many times over the years
