I don't think you did anything wrong per se, but you are inspired by the song that you quote as the inspiration and there is no personal dedication to the girl you love, it leaves the reader wondering if this is a foray into feeling like this from lyrics or from the heart, either way it's a sweet entreaty to say you'll be at her side, I especially liked the promisery togetherness, nb maybe no where / nowhere, but must be your choice entirely re presentation dear poet.

Hi there Yvette. first off want to thank you so very much for the wonderful comment. I am quite suprised by what you wrote however and well in a way you are correct. I wrote this from my heart based upon how the song had that effect upon me. BUT I also dedicated this poem to someone very special to me but I deleted the original author's comment via her request since she was getting bombarded as was I about what led me and her to become more than friends. any ways I sincerely appreciate the comment as it made me smile as did the other comments. have a good one

The intensity of your words show how very much you care for this person. To have someone there for you always is a blessing. One never knows just how much they depend on others until they are gone. Your girl is lucky that you can tell her how much you care for most guys are not able to express these feelings. You have done a very well thought out and great tribute to her. I was interested to see in your notes that it was based on a song (although I've never heard the song you mentioned) - I'm a musician and all the way through this poem I was picking out a tune for it in my head.
