Walking Life

Teach your children
only the best

of you
by telling them how
many times you failed.
Visit your own tears
and fears as you
relate wisdom
in losing.
Speak well of

winning
in a good cause.
Let teaching the

 innocent
lay a foundation

of truth in thought
before they leave.
Well grounded

in faith.
Souls

 making choices.
Walking life.
on their own.

Words of wisdom here my friend Yes teach them and let them know you're not perfect but also, offer the wisdom you have so that they won't follow and make the same mistakes. although i don't know how many times i have given good, sound reason and suggestions to my sons but they never listen, that is until it's often times to late lol i always tell them that i have been there/done that and if you do it your way this will be the result and i tell them through experience only to have them come to me later and tell me that i was right all along lol but this is what i am trying to get away from, living their lives for them. they are both grown men and i have given them the tools to go forth and live successful lives now they need to do the best they can. i am still waiting in the wings if they fall though to brush them off so they can pick themselves up and fly again thanks for your entry and good luck. be well and be blessed

This is a very wise work of poetry. I only have one child, and he is my pleasure in my life. I tried to always be as honest as possible in things he needed to know. I can only hope he does the same with his children. I like the truth of this poem. Good Luck!
