where we left our love...

i accidentally misplaced my love for you
somewhere between when
we couldn't take our hands off one another
and now when
we fake the passion when we touch one another...

I do want to find it, so we can be like before
i can't seem to remember where i lost it
and if i'll ever love you the same anymore...

and now we pretend we still have what we once had...
breathing off the memories we made and stored
but now those memories are running low
and new ones develop way too slow...

This hits hard to home. With its quiet intensity and its raw honest, I truly think this poem sits in the hearts of everyone who has ever lost a love by being sitting too long... letting the love go. Stylewise, I like that every line is lower case... this gives the poem a very distinctive sense of humility and shame, as if the hard knock of reality made your tongue loose and allowed you to enter these words here. My favorite part:
"but now those memories are running low
and new ones develop way too slow..."

Those lines deliver everything. Wow, I am awed. You are a fantastic capturer of the emotions that all humanity feels. Bravo and Cheers.
