I’ll sit in the warmth of my covers,
With a baby suckling upon my chest.
I’ll smile at his face and pray to my lord,
All without a single word.
I’ll lay him gently in his crib,
And softly say goodnight.
I’ll cover him and kiss his head,
Singing to him in his bed.
I’ll leave his room and wait my husband’s return,
Pacing in the kitchen’s walls.
I’ll smile so bright as he walks through,
Whispering the words “I love you”.
We’ll prance to bed under nights love,
Snuggling close with our hearts’ warmth.
I’ll lay my head upon his chest,
Knowing life is at its best.
We’ll say goodnight and drift off with the moon,
Surrounded by the warmth of the sky.
Slowly, quietly will close our eyes,
Him and I.
