Open the door
Who did you expect to see?
Reaching back in a memory
And pulling out lavender
You’re outline distracts me
Trust me, be my guest
Even though all these walls are dead
Not a very atmospheric place,
For someone as tender hearted as you
And the ridiculous attempt of me
Biting down on every word you’ve said
Swallowing & forgetting to chew
Forgive me
For hanging off the very tip
Of Faith
I could close my eyes
And pull all your colors out
No matter how tangled they were
I could hang them to my heart
If every word ended just as sore
But the endless escape
Has collapsed me
In this puddle of rain now grey
As a human to only feel what can be felt
As if it didn’t matter?
Tell me that it matters
Because it seems that’s the only thing left,
Worth to hear
With all that’s fragile splattered…
Move on, get out, disappear
This town is layered in dreams
And I’ve dropped my velvet breath
Compressing,
All the places we gently bled
I believe you left
Your coat on my door
With a little space between
But nothing more
These memories playing in on me
All the ones you wore out
Now, opening up at the seams
And I think, you know,
What I mean
Your voice, the backbone of my mind
Reverbing off of every particle and piece
And then ricocheting down my spine
You think I didn’t notice
But I was engulfed, inevitably fascinated
Believe me,
I noticed
And for a moment even tasted it
As direct as a bullet
Shot by a perfectionist
So efficient,
That this horrid expertise
Has seemed to cost me everything
Every single thought and feeling
And yet somehow,
I am an addict
But no matter how rugged
These feelings run deep
You are so delicate
And so,
I weep

wow. i am truly amazed by this write. i love how you just ran with the song. i am very glad that you chose this one. there's so much emotion in this write that it almost scares me. i dont know how you do it. i look forward to seeing your other entry.
