I see your reflections in this place
Mirrored in this glowing Saint Elmo light
I catch your drifting, idle thoughts
Without benefit of your second sight
And though you sail to different shores
Listening to a different piper's tune
I bear witness to your every pain
As they rise up from inside the gloom
For memories twist the truth we share
And colour our beliefs
They move in concert to the speed of sound
Like shipwrecks upon a reef
This life is like a flashing circuit board
Overloaded to the extreme
There is no room to move about in here
Trapped inside this looping dream
I asked you for a moments grace
Before you broke my heart
But you said you had no time to spare
As you tore it all apart
My love is like a sacred heart
With barbwire as my soul
You watched me as I bled for you
Handing my heart to you to hold
I see your reflections in this place
Mirrored in this glowing Saint Elmo light
I catch your drifting, idle thoughts
Without benefit of your second sight
You watched me as I bled for you
Handing my heart to you to hold...
