Collision

Flying down the sidewalk on my bike
A car comes into my perifial vision
I try and stop, but its too late
I dip to the side
The car is running a red light
In hopes that I can accellerate quickly
And get a long beep in insult from the car
Rather than a beep and flipping over the car

But alas the road is icy
My tire spins faster and faster
But no traction is made
I catch the side of the car with my entire leg
And from there my body shoulder hits the car
Next my face hits the hood and I slide across
I go all the way across with the familiar sound to me
The screeching of tires combined with the sound of shaving
Metal scraping agaist my face

I surprise a car in the second lane
Holding onto the bike kneeling on the leg
That was just hit on
I see the headlights then the front bumper
And my nose distance in front of my face
The liscense plate almost got branded on my forehead

I get back on my feet and off my bike
I appologize to the guy in front
The guy that hit me starts to pull away
I punch out the passanger window
To piss him off
To make him stop

We talk and discover I am uninjered
I get his information and he gets mine
Because of me breaking his window
He has to call the insurance
After talking to his insurance company
Telling the truth
Blaming both of us
We were both in the wrong
Me for my speed
Him for not waiting for the green to ignite
Him for running
Me for blowing out his window

Nothing permenate happens to me
I just carry on my way
As fast as before not at all phased
From getting hit by a car

Author notes

This is off the top of my head, I'm sorry if its no good. I know its imagry.

For those of you who have never gotten hit by a car before this is what its like for me. This is a subject that I know far too well.

Most people get really hurt from this, my body is so used to it, that unless its an SUV or bigger, I think nothing of it.

I recently got sick and tired of all the hit and runs, and I figured out that people stop and are itching for a fight when I bust their windows. I have found that I can easily explain why I can explain why I did that, it also passifys them after I tell them. And so just to scare them I just get their information and tell them that I'm going to sue(I'm fair, I also give them mine) When in reality I only sue when I have to go to the hospital(Hummer or bigger).

It doesn't hurt anymore, to get hit by a car, it just pisses me off.

Hmmmmmmmmmm...... I feel as if you are doing more telling, than letting the reader imagine what you are saying. The stanza,
"Getting hit by a car and getting hit by a brick
Are both one in the same
They are rarely expected and they can both hurt you"

I didn't like much. especially, the "they can both hurt you" part. It seemed out of place, or needed to be re-worded. It was really awkward.

Great story though ~ had my heart racing.

despite it being off the top of your head this poem is very ... for lack of better words... informative. The imagry helps those of us who have never been hit by a car understand what it would be like to go through it. You conveyed (sp?) the situation well. good impromptu write!! Keep it up!!
