It was an unforeseen discovery
the day faith had us cross paths
both coming from a past of anguish and hurt
with fresh wounds still open and exposed
not willing to risk picking up the pieces all over again
but we found one another in each other’s company
helping the other to heal and mend raw scar tissue
reviving what was thought to be the impossible
the ability to love without remorse
they thought they could break us
they said it would never last
but they only fueled us with ammunition
we ambushed them with our indestructible love
