Falling Star

Sitting on the moonlit beach tonight,
in your lap, you hold me tight,
and you know there's nowhere I'd rather be
than having you here holding me.

Look, look, my love, a falling star,
someone else could have seen it from afar,
so quick, let us make a wish before
the chance is gone forever more.

You smile softly at my words,
kiss my neck, laugh kindly and purr,
'It's okay, my kitten, for it is true,
I need no more wishes, for I have you.'

This poem is so sweet. I love it!
It just reminds me a wonderful love story.
Like one of those romantic movies where they end up together and incredibly happy.

    Lovely write!
    Good luck in the contest.

I happened to have the person I will not get to see for five years in my mind at the time I wrote this. He wrote me a poem about me sitting on the beach with him, and I incorporated the falling star into it myself.

I'm glad this poem had some meaning for you :3
