Mi mundo; mi todo

Mi mundo; mi todo

Significas más a mí que la vida sí mismo
Haría cualquier cosa para ti

Mi mundo; mi todo

Eres la razón que vivo;

Author notes

My world; my everything

You mean more to me than life itself
I would do anything for you

My world; my everything

You are the reason I live; the reason I breathe
I would die for you

My world; my everything

You are what makes my life perfect
I would do anything to make you smile

My world; my everything

You do everything the makes me happy
I would always try to keep you with me

My world; my everything

My world

My everything

Not the exact translation, but pretty damn close it would have sounded really funny with exact translations...

I wrote this for my husband, just in case you can't tell...

i think the original spanish version is much more powerful than the english translation. there's quite a bit of truth in the saying lost in translation. with the spanish version i got more of the feeling intended and it was very beautiful. when i read it all i could think about was my boyfriend and how this poem echoed the sentiments i have for him. while many poems rely on imagery and metaphor, you just put it all out there and said it like it was and i really liked it because when it comes down to love sometimes metaphor isn't necessary sometimes it just is what it is. very good write. =]

I'm going to tell you right now I'm so in love with this poem, you really do not know what kind of smile you have put on my face after reading this. The reason is because my girlfriend is hispanic and I would always write poems for her, and I'm still trying to learn Spanish because I told her one day I would be able to write her a poem in Spanish and say it to her.

This poem just really makes me think of her, I'm so grateful to come across this poem. Your husband is a really lucky man I can tell. This poem truly does motivate me, now I want to quickly learn my Spanish and write her a poem. Its sad that I feel the same way as what you have written in this poem because I don't want to take any lines of it, but one day I will write a poem in Spanish and you better watch out cause it might top this one haha. Really your poem was awesome it made my day and you have a great heart.

"Significas más a mí que la vida sí mismo" My favorite line in this piece, see I'm trying to learn some more spanish to be saying stuff like tat, but see all I got is my Eres el amor de mi vida and Cierro mis ojos y te imagino junto a mi. I guess I can still work with that haha.

Wished I have 3 Applauds for you cause you desire it!!!
Well if I could I'll sneak in a couple of hundred applauses too.

I love Spanish. It's very clever that you can speak another language as well as English, I struggle with languages somewhat if I don't keep reminding myself of things. This was a beautiful piece and the love you express I can relate to. I know how it is to have someone as my everything.

I wish i could even hope to feel what you express in this poem. I'm sure there are some subtle differences in translation (which unfortunatly i can not read the original) but i'm sure from what i've gathered it is a powerful piece of love. Now i need to find someone who can teach me this language!

Nice job, it kind of repeated a lot, but that was probably what you intended. Very romantic.

Ohhhhh . . . had to dredge up what I could remember from all my old Spanish classes for this. I got quite a bit of it before heading to the translation. It's a beautiful expression of love, regardless of the language.
