I am the mother of misery,
the birth of the Fates.
My children, numerous, famous
yet I don't share in their light.
I, the mistress of the night,
constant companion to shadows.
Everywhere and nowhere all at once.
Sleep and Death follow in my wake.
Three dimensional,
but only see one dimension of me.
Not all gods are from the same mold.
I'm not bad, just written that way.

I really liked this one. It is simple yet complex. Well done and good luck in the contest.

Liked the flow of these lines, and the ease with which it can be read, good rhythm in these verses -

Lady Altheia
with such fine verse you are indeed a "Mistress of the Night", and a wonderful goddess.

-
A wonderful piece, think I like this goddess. Best of luck with this in the contest
