Oh The Chores!!!
Washing dishes and folding laundry, an everyday task I must endeavor. Sweeping and mopping the floor, oh my gosh what a bore. Mowing the lawn and pulling weeds, why can't I just take a nap under the tree.
I Don't Have A Preferred Religion
I don't really believe in religion, for it is like the clothes on my back, different shades, different sizes and different styles. I believe in God don't get me wrong. He's in my heart, and that's all I need. Everyday in my ears, I hear his glorious song. With his love, I'm cared for indeed. Is this wrong, and will I succeed. I don't really know right now, guess I will have to wait and see. © Cara L. Greenlee, All rights reserved http://allpoetry.com/poem/3725110

"Such a Great Journey"
Looking out over the vast blue sea the world once thought to be flat. Thinking of how it seems infinite like the darkness that comes in the night. But if the world is flat, how could the night sky arc from one horizon to the next, Think of the view when seeing the stars, the sight of the crescent moon. The belief of one man. The pursuit of a dream. To prove to all people things weren't what they seem. He started to gather provisions for his trip. From his loving Queen he acquired his ship. Across the deep blue sea they started their quest. The surveyor along decided which course to be best. Oh what a great odyssey, but they didn't seem blessed. And as for a new trade route his Queen was obsessed. When way out in the ocean things got really bad. Many people began dying everyone was so sad. Starvation and hunger had taken its toll the sailors no longer wanted for riches and gold! We're dying! They cried,we should have turned back. The mother ship was sinking, from a thirty inch crack! Alas! They finally had made it to a foreign land. They unloaded their weak and their dead. Those that were able went out to seek water, and others, to lay down their heads. Oh what a journey they had to endure! And just when they felt they could take it no more. Finally they got here but things weren't that great. The place that they landed later becoming a state. Now how we love thee, this great country of ours. It took lots of work for to grow. If there's a problem and you don't like it here. There's plenty of places to go! No Money For Flowers
There was no money for flower, on valentines day. So my husband sent, this heart my way. That's all I need; flowers die anyway.
Somewhere Beyond...
Somewhere beyond the Sea, my husband waits for me. My heart captures his love, sent afloat upon the waves. Somewhere beyond the moon, my love waits from me. My eye catches him winking, as each cloud passes by. Somewhere beyond the mountains, my husband waits for me. My senses feel his strength, that's so noble, bold and proud. Soon I know he'll be home, and I am waiting from somewhere beyond.
Old And Gray
Old and gray, hands in such a disarray. Etched lines of wisdom, held within her face. Life passes before her eyes like an hour glass dripping time. Think of all the things she's seen, places and acquaintances made. In her mind years and memories travel, though she isn't able anymore.
Never Ending
He sowed the seeds, and tended them well. From the ground plants grow, with help of sun and rain. Blossoms bloom elegantly awhile, then they die and petals fall. Bearing of pods now show, and he plucks and stores them away, Thence sowing the seeds again next year.

I gotta pee
Once upon a time, in the middle of the night, I woke up having to pee, yeah you heard me right. I had to pee so bad, but my husband was in the loo, just grunting and a groaning, as he was taking a poo Told him "Come on man,
I have to go pee," as I was dancing around, waiting for the potty. He told me, "Your gonna have to wait, till I'm done, I got a turd stuck, that don't wanna come." I couldn't wait no more, so I went to the kitchen, and found an old paper cup, to pee in. He caught me, and I was so embarrassed on that day, but hey, gotta do what you gotta do, when you have to pee away. http://allpoetry.com/contest/2392293#
Eagle (Netse) Prayer
I soar on clouds high above, forgetting all my troubles below. Food is sparse and water low, this dreadful drought has taken all. The answer to my problems are few, and help does not exist at the moment. I pray to the Great Spirit above, whom I soar so near up here. My answers were heard I know, for the sky begins to grumble.

Are Farts Wet And Lumpy
I'm up on deck, batter is ready to swing. Out of nowhere a loud noise echoed in the air. The balls in flight, the batter missed, and the Ump said, "You're outta here!" My dad was laughing for he was the one that omitted that nasty fart, while in the midst of pitching the ball. Everyone was doubled over laughing saying, "Oh My Gawd!,Steve!, not in the middle of a game." My Grandmother on the side lines, shaking her head, probably thinking, "I surely didn't teach him those things." That Old Catholic Well-Mannered Ump looked so disgusted at the wafting smell that was lingering in the air. My dad said,"Hey you can't do that, that's not in the rules." The Ump said,"Don't argue just go, or I'll forfeit the game." As my dad walked by him, he lifted up his leg, and out roared another nasty, runny-sounding fart. Then shaking his leg at the Ump, saying, "Are farts wet and lumpy?" The old man fainted. The game had to be postponed, for the Old Ump was taken away in ambulance. I think my Dad almost gave him a heart attack. P.S. Thank God My Dad Was A Paramedic Too.

The Auction
Went to an auction to explore, the antiques they had and much more. I scanned through the house to see what was there, the past residents seemed to have taken great care. But this house had been idle for many eons, you'd think it would've been raided by some pion's. Nope, not once during all these years, something must have caused them to have fears. I have heard tales that this place was haunted, maybe this was why the house was unwanted. Looking through what was left behind, I found some old coffee mugs I wanted to make mine. The auctioneer seemed to take bid for hours, sorting through all that everyone scours. He comes to the kitchen and starts the bidding, the old mugs, can I have a thousand, oh I was just kidding. He knew what I had been waiting for, seeing me pace around them all day on the kitchen floor. He picked up one of those old cups in his hand, that was leathered with age and very tanned. I spider climb out and I began to scream, dashing off for it was the biggest I'd ever seen. I missed my chance on buying those old mugs, maybe next time I'll stick to buying lidded jugs.
