You brought me home from that evil place
Hoping to put a smile on my face.
You showed me love that I never knew
I gave all that love back to you too.
You let me sleep at the foot of the bed
Though when I was a pup I slept by your head.
I still remember what you'd always say
"Let's run in the meadow and live for the day."
I'll never forget what you've done for me
And everyone else from my family tree.
Look in my eyes, you'll know that it's true
My loyalty and trust lies within you~

I like this poem, you really captured how a dog would feel. I love dogs, they are my favorite animal and this poem really touched me, I used to have 14 dogs when I lived in Guatemala, so I really like reading about them. I really liked this though... Just thought that I should tell you because you have left so many great comments on my poems.
