Jesus and the Devil
Matt. 12: 22 - 33
W. Peter Sanci Jan. 24 / 2008
Well it’s been a while my friends, since I have sat down to write
a poem.
You know how it is my friends, you find something else to do, and you go wherever you’re heart roams.
Well once more I reached into my “ Holy Bible, ” which for me
Is an excellent source of poetry material.
And I mean it. There is everything, in the Holy Bible, love, murder,
stealing, adultery, I could go on and on, but it would be immaterial.
So let’s get right to the to the story, shall we.
Our story opens with the people bringing a blind man to see
Jesus.
Jesus commanded the wicked Pharisees, ( Remember them,
They were the pious priests the upholders of the Law of Moses. )
They were enraged when Jesus expelled the Demon, they said,
“ It is by Satan that he exells Satan. ”
But Jesus knew what was in their hearts, and he replied to them.
“ Can any group fighting amongst itself , cans a man serve two
masters.? ”
“ No one can break into a strong man’s house, an d take away
his belongings unless he ties the strongman up.”
And he goes on to finish by saying, “ Anyone who is not for me
is against me. For I tell most solemnly. Whoever says ill of the
Holy Spirit, will never be forgiven. ”
And so my friends what the Good Lord is trying to tell us, that
to get heaven, we must walk the straight and narrow path.
And not to speak ill of God or anything of heaven.
