Harmony

Breathe in; breathe out, harmony in the breath of two
to touch quivering lips, to taste skin of silk
lose control in the pounding of two heartbeats,
Loosen the strings that bind and in rapture passion find,
two halves make a whole – two heartbeats, one soul.

Open my heart, consume me
melt me...take me, break me should I fight, all encompassing filling warm light,
that saturates voids – Stops time. Stops space,
hips move – roll to your pace,
dark eyes – hot with desire, love flushed into a shadowed, familiar face.

Satisfy needs, don’t tell me you love me, show me,
feel your devotion flow – through me,
Live in my veins, Beat in my heart,
adoration burning, swelling, destroying the walls, breaking down locked doors,
settling debris to floor.

Breathe in; breathe out, harmony in the breath of two,
swallow me, a part of you – have always loved you
devour me, drink me in...
light fingertips, protect me
Whisper away the nightmares
let me sleep in your arms tonight?
Stop the memories; kiss away the bruises that no longer show
Yield to you, crumble, stumble and shatter
I am broken and you whisper it does not matter...
just suture the wounds, the injuries that have not healed
wrap me up tight and begin again...

Potresti ripetere per favore...?
(Can you say it again...?)
Ti amo...
(I love you...)
Sometimes that warmth frightens me
Prónto, sóno io
(Hello, it’s me)
I know – the pounding of my heart told me, before you even spoke
Blurs my vision and for a moment I choke,
what was missing is now here...

Breathe in; breathe out, harmony in the breath of two
to touch quivering lips, to taste skin of silk
lose control in the pounding of two heartbeats,
Loosen the strings that bind and in rapture passion find,
two halves make a whole – two heartbeats, one soul.

Author notes

Harmony...Wow what a piece, where to begin to explain?

Well it started out as a fun project just to do, this piece has been in the works for...few weeks now? Yeah, few weeks, what began as something small is slowly creating a life of its own. The more we both write the deeper the emotions feel, the harder it is to get out onto paper...which I am leading up to say is that there is a second piece in the works that will go with this one.

It became more apparent as we continued that our feelings towards those we love are the same. A painful piece of writing this is - in the most lovely way. We were both crying by the end and felt stupid. But that is the nice thing about writing. [I'm prolly going to get a comment about telling everyone he cried, but oh well LOL]

A short thank you to Damian for keeping me sane and working on this with me. The random times that we did come together to work on this during the last few weeks were so much fun. I cannot wait to finish the second piece. What do you say to a third?? hehe.

So to Everyone - Enjoy!

Love,
Katrina

This is fucking amazing, you two have a some major badass skills. This is probably one of the most in depth dives into love and romance that I've seen in a while. The beat, the words, the flow all of it just works perfectly and I wish I had time to read the next two but I have to get back to the bus, we only came into town to pick up supplies. Fucking God I never thought I would be so happy to see Coca Cola. I miss you, I love you all, give everyone my best, I'm doing good, I had the flu about a week ago but it cleared up so I'm back to work.
    love,
    Richard

DAMN YOU BOTH! I'm crying like an idiot!!

[two halves make a whole – two heartbeats, one soul.] - Absolutely LOVE this line. Dear Jesus, I need to get a grip. You two collaborate beautifully together, it is difficult to tell who wrote what but I guess that just makes the collaboration that much better! I LOVE this! Is it lame that I want to bookmark it?? Well, I don't give a damn if it is! I can understand these feelings and it's amazing that you two can sort of get out the ideas - but I do agree that there is so much more left unsaid. ABSOLUTELY BREATH-TAKING HEART-WARMING TEAR-JERKING WORDS!

IN LOVE WITH BOTH OF YOU,
    Alex

You are very welcome, Katrina, I had a lovely time working on this with you. It is slowly beginning to bring music into my thoughts and I do like the idea of eventually putting music to the words, but for now I am satisfied. As for the crying - it was short lived if I do remember.
The second piece is coming along well I like to think, the more we write the less I seem bound by restraint to say what I feel. I wonder do you feel the same? A third piece would be wonderful to do should we find more to write about. Love has not end to words, expressing in new ways each time. I look forward to working with you soon.
