Once upon a time
In a far away place,
There was a princess.
This princess was beautiful
With long golden hair,
Plaited delicately into a braid.
Oh, pretty pretty Princess,
Come fly away with me.
We'll touch the skies and soar through the clouds.
She waited in a tall tower
With only one window and no doors
For a prince that never came.
She tries to hard to be perfect,
But she's still a nobody,
Sitting in her tower of shame.
Oh, pretty pretty Princess,
Come and dance with me.
We'll own the floor, show everyone what we're good for.
She doesn't know what it's like to be free.
Trapped within herself,
She's become that tower keeping her in.
One day this princess will learn,
Finally see her mistakes,
And finally be free.
Oh, pretty pretty Princess,
You don't need a prince.
You've got me.

I really love this one. It's really relateable.

Yeah, I think it's happyish -ha, I like that word- and I especially like lines 7-9, and 16-18. I think that those make the poem what it is, 'cause I think the rest of it seems like you're TELLING rather than showing. Work on that, then you'll be rockin'. Oh, and one more thing . . . it seems like a better word could be used instead of "pretty". Maybe use a thesaurus to get the right amount of syllables and the same meaning. Keep on writing!
