No towers now to show the way to the sky.
A shoreline bright with fireflies of light.
Ocean stretches its open arms wide to
enfold the city of cities, Big Apple.
Waves wash away detritus of giant's force,
little waves lap against a tide so strong
it reaches beyond infinity, into forever.

Wonderful
Very well done. Best of luck in the contest.

This isn't a style I'd usually consider effective, but the way you write is entrancingly beautiful and complex beyond the form you utilise.
"Waves wash away detritus of giant's force,
little waves lap against a tide so strong
it reaches beyond infinity, into forever."
You know, this is the exact way I felt when I was actually in Manhattan a few weeks ago. I don't know where you're from or if you've been to the City... but gods, this describes looking at Manhattan from the shores of the Hudson perfectly.
Awesome write, & good luck in the contest!
