Through The Heavens, Jonny's Song

Tiny stars twinkle
With light to show the way
And then the sun rises
Beginning a new day

A beautiful dove soars
Guiding, lifting me
Sky now surrounds
Blending with the sea

As the day unfolds
Giving forth its treasure
Laughter bubbles up inside
I'm happy beyond measure

I see lovely butterflies
With brightly colored wings
I hear the twittering birds
And with them my heart sings

The peace I feel around me
The touch of Master’s love
All take their place beside me
Watched from up above

My journey carries me far
Through boundless time I fly
Soaring high above the earth
Over stars and moon on high

I am happy in this new world
Just a wandering happy soul
I’m comforted by Buddha’s love
With him I feel whole

I fear not this place
Of melody and light
I am embraced by love
Throughout the day and night

My mother, I miss you
And I feel your tears
Father, hold her close
Relieve her of her fears

For I am not alone
I hold you in my heart
Please smile with me
For we shall never part

*chorus* (to be sung at intervals throughout the song)

        Buddha welcome me
To your busom safe and warm
        Show me all your treasures
        Keep me free from harm

Author notes

A work in progress. There may be changes from time to time until I get it perfected.

This is Jonny's song, a message to his parents. Jonny is a little four year old Chinese boy who was tragicly killed in an automobile accident. This is written with the help of Tuen, a young musician, and will probably be modified a bit until we get exactly what we want.

Update... I've written a 2nd version of the song. You can see it at

First thing I noticed is the stanzas, four, where the other had two. Oddly, they both still had a familiar tone, which I'd think the stanza difference would have changed, ah well, I learned something new.

Ah, good, you added a link to the second, that makes it easy to get to the other, I hate when people don't add the link to things...I'm very lazy and hate to do the work.

The tone matches the subject which is soft, comforting, almost knowing, a great poem to read at 6 am, which is now.

Yes, the two are pretty much the same. I made the revised one into two line stanzas by just eliminating some unnecessary words and putting lines into to instead of four lines.

Thanks for reading and commenting on both of them

    Beautiful and Loving

    Your heart sings,
    with the words of faith,
for we all walk with hope in our souls,
    the peace, love will bring.

This song soars Dee. The lyrics are smooth and give the reader a feeling of serenity and warmth. My condolences go to the family who lost their child in this tragic accident. The beauty of this writ comes from the depth of a caring soul, it is easy to witness that through these lyrics.

    Much Love Always ♥

Thank you for your kind words, Sis. The music will be coming a little later, hopefully. The words are mine with some prompting from Tuen and she's doing the music.
I can hardly wait for it all to come together. There will most likely be some changes in the lyrics.

      love and
      Dee
