So long ago
The sweet goodnights
I remember them well
The quiet voices floating
Down the winding corridor and
Into the snow white room
Where all my dreams begin and end
I’ll rest my weary head
Upon the starch white pillowcase
As summer days drift into winter nights
And sleep walks and talks around me
Bury me here she whispers across the stars
Leave me among the Milky Way
So I may spend eternity as the twinkle
In your midnight eyes
Never wake, never sleep again
Killing time with snow white blood
Smeared across snow white walls
Remember me he begs her
Once the night returns to day
And sunlight hides the truth
Behind her blinding lie
Take heart my dearest friends
There is life with in me still
Behind the snow white face
Resting upon the starch white pillowcase
Listing to the sweet goodnights
The quiet voices floating
Down the winding corridor and
Into the snow white room
Where all my dreams begin and end

Awesome
I LOVED it. Bittersweet, with great imagery and flow. I could see this being in a book with messages to families of terminally ill patiences from the patiences themselves. I love it. Keep up the great work and good luck in the contest.

Oops. Line four, you put "quite" instead of quiet. This is pretty. I mean, the way it flows is just great. I know everyone says that, but it really is great. And the final line is perfect, it really sums up the poem and it sounds really cool. Congradulations on winning the contest, too. Good job.

I got the Snow Whaite image loud and clear too. This is a lovely piece of poetry. Very ethereal indeed. I like. Very well done.

and she wished for a daughter as red as blood and white as snow, and she named her 'snow white'
is the poem and color scheme a tribute to the original grimm's snow white?
i liked it it felt sterile and at the same time stained like blood on a hospital floor. nice poem
