Sephiroth.
Yes, I am speaking of ol' Sephie, and he is my favorite video game character of all time. For those who are out of the loop, and do not have any clue who in the world this guy is, here's a link to a picture I personally love--

And here's bit of a biography, even though not much is known about him.
Name--Sephiroth
Age--??[Perhaps between mid-20's to early 30's?]
Skin Tone--Light skin
Weaponry--Masamune [Long Sword]
Eyes--Green
Hair--Hip/Waist Length Silver hair [it seems to sporadically change
]Physique--Slim/Medium Athletic Build [also sporadically changes. I've seen AC, and have played through FFVII many times. In the original game, he seems more...buff. Robust, if you will. But in AC, he seems to have a more lean look. Hmm...could be the dramatic change in graphics...you know, from Lego people to photorealism]

Why is he my favorite? He got to be my hero, once I got over the primordial fear I had of him. Yes, at one time I was scared sh*tless of Sephiroth. I was quite young at the time I first played the game, and adored this enigmatic "Sephiroth" that everyone made mention of, from Rufus to Cloud and blah blah blah. I mean, he was the best, Cloud [at first] wanted to be him, and I fell in love with him. And then...horror struck. The Sephiroth theme music, "One Winged Angel". I ran out of my room crying when it came on, as I already had my TV loud, but that was scary. And then my dad dressed as him for Halloween [he's a FF freak also] and scared me to the point of barricading myself in my room with my Cloud doll and crying my eyes out. Hmmm...
...But as time went by, I realized the awesome-ness of this music, and then re-discovered my adoration for Sephiroth. A top-ranking SOLDIER, manically evil and smart, and gorgeous to boot. And then he killed my least favorite character. At the time, that is. When I first played FF7, I was hell-bent on believing Aeris was out to steal Cloud from me. And is given the chance, she would have stolen Vincent Valentine somehow too...but then, [upon my command of course] Seph did her in! Woo! Sorry to all the Aeris-lovers out there. I like her now..but at the time I just hated her demure attitude...
How did he get to be my hero? Eh, well, as a young 'un, I was bit of the odd kid out. I didn't have a lot of people that liked me, [ha, I still don't] and I found solace in my Cloud and Sephiroth dolls. Even up until I was 13, I used to cuddle them and such, for some reason having two big tough guys ready to beat up all the meanies seemed okay. Cloud was there to yell at people and threaten, and Sephiroth was always the one to use Meteor to blow up the elementary/middle school. I had a morbid imagination. Heh...well..yeah.... *shrugs*
When I grew into teenhood, or at least, when I discovered the male population full-time, Sephiroth was the ideal lover. Things have changed since then, but at the time when I wore thick glasses and talked incessantly about anime, Sephiroth seemed like he was waiting just over the horizon, beautiful silver strands letting the cool wind dance through them, deep mako-toned eyes glittering with a malevolent, and often, I assumed, fierce protectivity that looked upon you in a way that made you feel insignificant but empowered at once.
Maybe that's what he means to be. Being protected by a beautiful someone to make all of the people that picked on you gawk, and be the enny of all your friends.
Maybe......maybe.
Okay! Enough with the pensivity!
Time for a poem! Yes!
[A humourous poem, by the way]
^Jenova's finest^
Take a look and what do you see;
My, oh my, what demigod villany!
Light silver hair, and bright green eyes,
A dark, dark wing to grace the skies.
Sin, Xemnas, hey, Revolver Ocelot,
you guys all are great, but...
A One Winged Angel's what you're not!

All you bishonen can go take a rest,
cause with a face like that you know...
you're messing with Jenova's finest!

Yeah, I know..it's not creative genius. Simply spur of the moment, even though a poem was not required.......
Please pardon any grammatical errors. I try my best.

As soon as I saw the title I smiled I said, "Oh nice." He is also my husband's favorite character too. And though he does cause major conflict in the life of MY favorite character... I have to give him props for his bad ass-ness!
Awesome work here. Thank you so much for entering.
