between trailing strands her skin is moonlit
in this midnight
this life was one
written in footprints,
spelt out
by the sheer tread of rubber soles
through weightless mornings
& dust-dragged afternoons
– life is
stencilled over sine waves,
as predictable as butterflies and –
(against the cliché) – just
as meaningless
‘mistakable’
slides sinuous over pupils
undilated
with attention ~
(because light is oh so wearing
on the soul)

You made the parts of this work wonderfully together. I wouldn't have guessed these were recycled words if not for the premise of this contest. lol. Thank you for the entry. Stunning imagery in this one.

it works really well

good stuff
