In silence
our future earth
screams.
Our sky is hazy and dirty
forest fires are angry and out of control
permafrost escapes in the atmosphere.
Sea level rises on nature
Coastal erosion increases
Vast areas are flooded
many islands disappear
Cars and industries
culprits of global warming
limit resource
threaten animals, plants
fresh water,
contributes to famine and disease
storm surges as cyclones hit
evacuate cities
and people are displaced.
Losses outweigh the benefits
in the battle against gobal warming
our human activities
contribute to the disaster.
Will nature balance itself out
in the end
or ought we know
do more to
save our mother earth?
