Remember the time
I kissed your forehead
A smile dashed across your face
We sat against each other
Park benches and cool night air
The only company we had or desired
You leaned in and trembled from the cold
I leaned back and trembled for the future
Remember the time
Our lips first met
Dim light floated in the living room
Your hand along my waist
Head sinking into my chest
Slowly igniting my heartbeat
As we both drift off to sleep
Remember the time
We stood in my lawn
Embracing, never wanting to let go
Occasional tears escaping your eyes
Pain gripping every part of me
Crippling my insides as I turn away
This is when we knew it wouldnt happen
This is when we parted ways
Remember the time
I remember it all too well
I've done what I could to forget
Attempts to forget, only remind me
Your face is deep within me
Bruising my memory forever

What an astounding write.
Flowing and deeply beautiful.
"Your hand along my waist
Head sinking into my chest
Slowly igniting my heartbeat
As we both drift off to sleep"
I love this part, because it feels like it could go even more personal, but it ends with "sleep" rather than "sex". It's enchanting.
Thanks for entering my contest. Good luck!
