Secret Vanity

Carefully placed boredom showing upon her face.
She loves knowing
the irresistible image she is
reflecting.
It makes her grin inside.
Through the gray of the day
she stands out, a green goddess.
Secret vanity is being fed,
voracious hound is she, gobbling it up.
Every catcall and whistle feeding
her confidence(consciousness?).
She'll be back tomorrow for another 'unveiling'.
An attention junkie always needs a fix.

This poem is indeed very clever. Before looking at the prompt picture, I thought of a flower that opens and close with the sunlight and lack thereof, and to my surprise, that is what I found when I did take a peek. LOL Excellent! Very inventive. Shows off your creativity with a flare. The best to you in the contest.

    Much Love & Respect ♥
