W ishing on this, a falling star
I hear my heart beat from afar,
S eeing the two of you in my minds eye
H oping I have the time to tell you why …
O bstacles have been placed and laid
N ext for us in turmoil to wade.
A ctions for justice are too slow,
F or I await the final blow.
A nswers I plead for from the universe
L inear time seems to be in reverse.
L evels of hope and faith begin to fade
I nto excuses that we have now made.
N ights are harsh in winter’s whine
G one are the days of our summer time.
S itting here on this still and quiet night
T empting fate to be fair and wish for right
A ll that has been denied and wrong for you
R eaching up for just one wish to come true.
Author notes
As my custody battle winds up to the finale within the next few days, seeing the judge on feb 24, I wish only that my two little ones understand the fury I have had to unleash upon their dad to resume being their custodial parent. I really miss and love them so very much.
