Curious eyes watching an ant digress
Cracks tracing weather's ways upon the concrete
Simple thoughts about simple things
This is what my true love brings
A calming peace
The smell of freshly dug earth
Falling leaves swirling in the wind
Doves scratching at the air with their call
I walked alone
Eyes searching for nothing
You whispered thoughts into my head
Simple thoughts about simple things
Peace is found in each waking moment
Joy in each unwarranted smile
The way the snow falls on my face
The simplest of things
Search under rock and stone
There I will find
Search in the open arms of the skies and seas
There I will find
Search in that whispery call
There I will find
Search in thunder's roar
There I will find
The same love I always knew
Walking amongst sad and angry people
Dreaming of simpler things.
