Trying to Fall Out of the Grave I Dug For Myself

Darling
Standing on your precipice
I never heard you crying my name
[in warning.]

And suddenly,
With all due respect,
You were flying…
  flailing…
    falling…

    [failing.]

To capture my attention.

Even as I caught you
&& our tumbled bodies entwined
you forgot to mention
[ I love you, baby. ]
that this was your
Perfection.

The life [love] you wanted
But could never truly have.

I’m sorry,
But at least we have matching bruises… ♥

The last verse makes me smile, and go "Awe, how cute."
You have a very good play on words through the poem.
    I really like the Title.
