(Personal) Broken Memories

Outgoing girl with life ahead, hiding woman, hiding child
Anger, passion, fierce, alive, bleak outside, feelings mild
Bottled up, inside to die, Open the lock, find the key
Even it’s owner knows not where it lies, See the flames as they break free (never to fly)

Confusions abounds with misleading signs, No straight answer, nothing to find
One person still contradicts all she knows, never a release for this Tortured Mind
So many years spent in the same idea, So many times its been taught
So many teachers and so many ways, and yet one idea is still sought (not accepted)

(never accept the selfish path) Never see the life to become

Seeing, believing, means nothing but grieving,
For a child who knows nothing in wrong or right
But simply a dreamer, old memories glimmer
As she sails on the wings of the night
(safe in darkness and shame, always to blame, for the things of the mind and the heart and the soul)

This one hope of naught but a voice and her heart
Seems stronger than the many she hears
But to stand up against all that she’s ever known
A strong challenge a simple phrase bears
(too weak, too small, too far gone for love now)

(never to live a normal life) Never to submit to broken memories
