Dreams

she looks up
staring into the eyes of another
glistening sweat shines in the light
shes lost in her fantasy
swept up in the music
she bites her lip
and dreams of that kiss
their smiles but an inch away
her fear builds a wall
guilt between them
she retreats in regret
crying silently
she takes her boy friends hand
once again
leaving the girl of her dreams behind.
