Gift of Devotion

Should I come to you
by aeroplane
or ship
or by foot
it would be tiresome
crossing mountains
oceans
and continents

Now I send you instead
these flowers
from soft, singing soil:

white jasmine
for sweet purity;
yesterday-today-tomorrow
shading purple and white
melancholy and hope;
impatient in the pink
for the persistent heart;

and for an overdose:

that intense blue billet-doux
of the potato-plant ...

I send it
on silk and silver
memories
of tenderness

I show
my deepest love
effortlessly

    So sweet and emotionally fulfilling. Nothing so lovely or speaks so sweetly of love than the blooms from the garden, and the thoughts that go with them.

    Very powerful and very romantic. Absolutely wonderous Myra! Your work will never cease to amaze me

    The imagery is astounding. They say a picture is worth a thousand words...well, your words are worth a thousand picures.

    Love and Light,

    I have never loved as deeply as when I was separated from my lover for one year. This really resonated with me. For one year, the modern world ceased for us; our romance blossomed on paper. It felt special somehow; different. Affection of the heart and soul is so much more powerful than the physical. You captured that so, so beautifully.

      Hallo Beloved Rae ...

      Oh, how I wish we two could have coffee together in New York, called by some of my American friends a JUNGLE! I have some VERY good friends there; I do not fear jungles. Perhaps I fly there by words? And never leave again?

      Hope you are well, Precious One. And: I wish you and Dominika could meet ... and Devon.

      Love
      Myra

    MMM?

    Do you think as I? That you can love better without physical contact.In some cases moreso!
    To send your love and devotion,in thoughts, flowers in this case. Says more than actually speaking.But speech can be an inhibitor because noone can be completly open when eyes to meet as they talk.
    Unless they have nothing to hide.
    I sooner just look in the eyes rather than talk.
    Because they speak volumes and hide nothing.Even when the eyelids blink to try.
    But also your poem suggests to me, that when you get older as I am, the love of the heart and thoughts is far stronger than a physical relationship. An unrequited love. The physical,seems only to drain the heart somehow of all feeling.
    Natures tricks don't work so well as you mature, and the tastes in life as in the wine become more refined,and choosy, and only reach for perfection learnt through lifes mistakes. Never to err again or give yourself too freely to natures demands.
    Yes I like your kind of love, and the flowers sent are wonderful.Because they are growing within your heart, they are beacons of your sincerity.
    I like your kind of love, it is perfection.
    And your words express it so well!
    Keith.
