Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch each other water
The well broke down and looking 'round
Jack said it doesn't matter
Well Jack and Jill went up the hill
And nothing much comes after
They both looked out and round about
But Jill just wanted water
Well Jack and Jill were up there still
As thunder shook, and darker
The sun they'd seen fall to the sea
Only gave shadows after
So Jack and Jill stayed up until
The sun had left no marker
Making no sound as all around
The night grew only darker
And Jack and Jill were up the hill
When dark clouds broke their water
Jill held Jack's hand while Jack could stand
But Jack won't bear to mark her
Jack waits with Jill upon the hill
Waits for the mark of lightning
And he has darkness in his eye
His heart and hand won't brighten
Jack's held by Jill up on the hill
Her lips and hands full frightening
Jack tries to see past tragedy
Jill hears Jack's heart like lightning
They wait there still, old Jack, young Jill
While stars dance dirges, calling
They wait for dawn to break their song
And all the while, the sun's still falling
They wait there still, young Jack, old Jill
Jack's tears are caught in falling
And poor Jill's hands wish wedding bands
But all Jack hears are stars still calling
The village green crafted a scene
Just so God gives an end in this
And Jack and Jill roll down the hill
Entangled in each other's arms
Please tell me what you think
