Coals glow dimly
in our hearth.
We stir dying embers;
dwell upon love's vow.
Kindle with kindness,
comfort and hope.
Laughter sparks life;
black ash spirals.
Smoke clouds the chamber,
then clears.
Flames lick brick walls;
passions blaze again.
